Permanent Hair Removal
Electrolysis is achieved by the insertion of a fine probe into the hair follicle which is a natural opening. There is no piercing of the skin. A tiny amount of electrical current is then applied to destroy the hair growing cells. An electrologist is trained to use machine settings, modalities, and client’s tolerance levels to provide safe, permanent hair removal. Sensitive electronic machines called epilators deliver the current to the probe causing heat & chemical decomposition or both to destroy the hair root.
Electrolysis, like many minor procedures in medicine, does have a short healing period. There may be some transient redness or swelling and, occasionally, some pinpoint scabbing. Your electrologist will advise you regarding what can be expected during healing.
